Introductory Half-Day Class
Learn to put your face in, happily. Feel the water hold you up. Learn that there really is hope, and you can learn to swim. One meeting, 4.25 hours long. $60-$75 depending on location and early registration.
Since 1983, 4000 students have graduated from our program. We produced a videotape, wrote a book, have spoken at numerous events, appeared in dozens of newspapers, television and radio programs, and have set a goal of reducing preventable drowning to zero by teaching every human to be in control in deep water.

Sample our work, have a breakthrough or 3, and decide to continue either on your own with your new tools, or in our full Beginning Swimming class.
The first 90 minutes are on land. Discuss "what happened?," what beliefs you came to have, and how to fix them. The next 2 hours are in a 93 degree pool (Berkeley). MSI shows you how to get started and how to use what you learned in the first 90 minutes of class in the pool. Have an experience of water that you've never had before. Last half-hour is a recap of what you learned and a discussion about how to continue either on your own or with MSI's swim classes. Bring a bag lunch, suit, towel, pen, and goggles if you already have them. Goggles will be available at class for borrow or purchase. Our instructional video and book can be purchased if you wish to "take the class home with you." The Introductory Half-day Mini Swim Class is not a prerequisite for the Beginning Swimming class.

Breakthroughs guaranteed or your money back. This class reveals what the actual problem is, teaches the overcoming of fear and how to prevent panic. Our work is a radical shift from what you've tried before.
Despite common opinion, the float at right is a perfectly good float.
